Andrew Wyeth was a famous American realist painter. He is best known for his realist works of rural scenes, usually with a figure, object, or animal in it. His unusual compositions tend to add to the understated drama of his work. Wyeth was a notable artist and illustrator. Wyeth married Betsy James in 1940 and they had two children together: Nicholas and James Wyeth. The artist died on the 16th of January, 2009 in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, US at the age of 91. He was buried at the Hathorn Cemetery, Cushing, Maine, United States.
