Arthur Rimbaud was a famous French poet. He is best known for his symbolist poetry that influenced many modern writers. Most of his greatest works were written in his adolescence. Mini biography: Born Jean Nicolas Arthur Rimbaud on the 20th of October, 1854 in Charleville, France. His mother was Marie Catherine Vitalie Cuif and his father Frédéric Rimbaud was a French infantry officer. Rimbaud was gay and had a relationship with the French poet Paul Verlaine between 1871 and 1875. The poet died on the 10th of November, 1891 in Marseille, France at the age of 37. Arthur Rimbaud is buried at the Charleville-Mezières cemetery, Charleville-Mézières, France.
