Frederick McCubbin was a famous Australian Impressionism painter associated with the Heidelberg School art movement. He is best known for his depictions of Australian rural life and our relationship with the bush. Mini biography: Born Frederick McCubbin on the 25th of February, 1855 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. His mother was Anne McWilliams and his father Alexander McCubbin was a baker. McCubbin married Annie Lucy Moriarty in 1889 and they had seven children together. The artist died on the 20th of December, 1917 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia at the age of 62. Frederick McCubbin is buried at the Brighton General Cemetery Caulfield South, Glen Eira City, Victoria, Australia.
