Artquotes.net has been around for-like-ever! I can’t remember when I started it but it was a very long time ago. It used to be quite popular at one point with tens of thousands of visitors every week. People gave me lots of positive feedback and life was good.
Eventually I lost focus though. It was a combination of reasons and I could come up with a million excuses why I stopped updating the website but the end result was that the site went into decline. I stopped working on the site and visitors stopped coming. For the past month or so it has been offline and I didn’t even realize it!
But I have decided to bring Artquotes.net back to life. I went to re-upload the website a few days ago but realized I didn’t have the files on my laptop. I’ve been in Istanbul, Turkey for the past 12 months and I don’t have the website files here with me. They would be on my computer back in Australia but I won’t have access to them for another month or two.
So I have decided to start from the beginning. To make a new start. I made so many mistakes with my old website as I started it way back when I was using HTML and notepad to create each page! I’m the worst coder ever but I persisted and learned what I had to.
This time around I am using WordPress so it’ll be in a blog format and will be much easier for me to manage and for you the visitor to read and navigate. Win, win! 😁
It’ll take a while to build the site back to where it was so I hope you’ll stop by again soon to see how I’m progressing.

Well look at that nested comment. Isn’t that a thing of beauty? I wonder how many levels these nested comments go to? I’m guessing there’s a setting in WordPress where you can choose how many levels or nests there are in the comments section. So much to learn, so much 🙉
